  • Quanta Storage Inc. ("QSI") was established on February 1999 and is an affiliated company of Quanta Group. Since the beginning of company establishment, QSI has been absorbedly developing and manufacturing the slim optical disk drives, and constantly has succeeded in the production of a variety of the slim and ultra slim drives. Contributed from the continuous diligent works for a number of years, QSI has been recognized with distinguished R&D skill, precise manufacturing capability and well-performed quality assurance by the numerous international well-known companies; and becomes an essential supplier of the notebook manufacturing companies.
  • Up-to-date, in order to adapt ourselves to the rapid market changes and to expand our market share, QSI separated the organizations into two main Business Units in 2004. The Optical Storage Business Unit remains the business activities related to the sales of the slim drives; in addition to maintain our advantageous capabilities to compete in this industry, we are fast catching up with other leading companies as well as enlarging the gap for the followers. The Consumer Electronic Business Unit carrying with our core techniques engages in the digital multi-media areas and positively acquires the business opportunity through the business model varies from OEM, ODM to IDM.

  • SLIM SLOT-IN IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM DRIVE
    • The SLIM SLOT-IN CD-ROM DRIVE is an internal type, weighing 235 g for steel top case. Designed for internal slot-in type manual load , it is only 12.7 mm thick. It is IDE/ATAPI interface CD-ROM drive. The maximum data transfer rate is 3,600 KB/sec (24X) at the outer most tracks and 11X at the inner most tracks. The drive supports multi-operating systems. It also got CE&FCC certificate (EMI license), UL (Safety license) and TUV.
    SLIM IDE/ATAPI DVD-ROM DRIVE
    • The SLIM DVD-ROM DRIVE weights 190g and is manufactured using lead-free process. It is IDE/ATATPI interface DVD-ROM & CD-ROM drive. The drive has 8X-speed DVD-ROM disc reading and 24X-speed CD-ROM disc reading capabilitie
  • SLIM COMBO DRIVE
    • The SLIM COMBO DRIVE (CDRW/DVD Drive) weighs 190g and is manufactured using lead -free process. It is IDE/ATATPI interface DVD/ROM & CD-R/RW drive, capable of writing CD-R/RW discs in addition to functioning as a regular DVD ROM drive. The drive has 8X-speed DVD-ROM disc reading, 24X-speed CD-R disc writing, 24X-speed CD-RW disc writing and 24X-speed CD-ROM disc reading capabilities.
    ULTRA-SLIM COMBO DRIVE
    • The ULTRA-SLIM COMBO DRIVE (CDRW/DVD Drive) is an Ultra-slim internal type with only 9.5 mm high, weighing 191g for steel top case or 160g for aluminum top case. It is IDE/ATATPI interface DVD/ROM & CD-R/RW drive, capable of writing CD-R/RW discs in addition to functioning as a regular DVD ROM drive. The UBW-242 has 8X-speed for using DVD-ROM discs reading and 24X-speed CD-R disc writing,

    SLIM DVD R/RW/RAM DRIVE
    • The SLIM DVD R/RW/RAM DRIVE is an internal type, weighing 170g (+/-5g) with aluminum bottom top. The drive is only 12.7mm thick. It is IDE/ATAPI interface DVD R/RW/RAM recordable drive, capable of writing DVD R/RW/RAM discs as well CD-R/RW discs and functioning as a regular DVD-ROM drive. Furthermore, the drive supports all industry-standard writing methods.
    SLIM SLOT-LOAD DVD PLAYER MODULE
    • The SLIM SLOT-LOAD DVD PLAYER MODULE is a 12.7mm height slim slot-load DVD Multi-media Player module weighing only 230g. It supports all kinds of DVD/CD discs and Memory Cards for easy implementation of various applications, such as LCD TV, Portable DVD Player and DVD Projector, etc. With Slot-load mechanism, no laser pick-up head or motor will appear in front of user to ensure human safety.
