About the Report

This report is prepared by Quanta Computer Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "Quanta") in accordance with the International Sustainability Reporting Standards and key stakeholder concerns. It aims to systematically disclose the Company's sustainability policies, management mechanisms, implementation outcomes, and future commitments across the three core pillars of Environmental (E), Social (S), and Governance (G), demonstrating Quanta's dedication to sustainable development and corporate responsibility.

Boundary and Scope of the Report

The scope of this report by Quanta Computer Group (hereinafter referred to as "Quanta") is aligned with the boundaries of its financial statements and covers the Group's key operational sites. These include QRDC (Quanta Research & Development Complex), QTMC (Quanta Taiwan Manufacturing City), QSMC (Quanta Shanghai Manufacturing City), QCMC (Quanta Chongqing Manufacturing City), QMB (QMB Co., Ltd), and other existing locations.

This year, sustainability-related information has been newly incorporated from the following operational sites: Vietnam Plant (QMH, QMH Computer Co., Ltd.), Tennessee Plant in the United States (QMN, Quanta Manufacturing Nashville), California Plant in the United States (QMF, Quanta Manufacturing Fremont), Germany Plant (QCG, QCG Computer GmbH), and Mexico Plant (QMMC, Quanta Mexico Manufacturing Center). In addition, greenhouse gas emission data now includes Quanta's subsidiaries and other affiliated enterprises. The primary boundary scope is available on Quanta's official website. This report primarily discloses information on the companies listed below; for further details, please refer to Quanta Computer Inc.'s Annual Report, Section 6: Special Notes, Subsection 6.1: Information on Affiliated Enterprises. For the disclosure of each topic, please refer to the respective notes in the corresponding chapters and sections. Compared to the previous year, this report provides more comprehensive coverage, underscoring Quanta's continued emphasis on and commitment to sustainable management across its global operations. In the following chapters, the English abbreviations of each plant site will be used as the primary labeling method to clearly present the performance outcomes and management practices at each location.

Among them, QSMC (Quanta Shanghai Manufacturing City) includes Tech-Front (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Com (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Lead (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Giant (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Trend (Shanghai) Computer Co., Ltd., and Tech-Wave (Shanghai) Logistics Co., Ltd.; QCMC (Quanta Chongqing Manufacturing City) includes Tech-Front (Chongqing) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Com (Chongqing) Computer Co., Ltd., Tech-Wave (Chongqing) Logistics Co., Ltd., and Cloud-Tech (Chongqing) Technology Co., Ltd.

As of the end of 2024, the total number of employees in the Quanta Group worldwide is 64,935, encompassing the QRDC headquarters in Taiwan as well as major manufacturing sites globally. At the same time, supply chain management and local communities are included outside the organization. Quanta publishes the Quanta Group Sustainability Report annually by August 31. This edition marks the 15th consecutive year of publication and covers the reporting period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. This report also covers certain project contents for short-term, medium-term, and long-term implementation.

The restatement of information is primarily due to adjustments in the report's scope. Last year, the coverage was limited to four major operational plants. This year, it has been expanded to encompass the entire group, primarily covering Quanta's nine major manufacturing plants. Accordingly, the related data have been updated to provide a more comprehensive reflection of the group's overall performance.

Social:

  • 4.1.1 Diversity and Inclusion - Indicators 2-7 Employees, 401-1 New Employee Hires and Employee Turnover, 450-1 Diversity of Governance Bodies and Employees. Scope, formulas, and disclosure items have been adjusted to comply with GRI standards and evaluation requirements

  • 4.1.3 Talent Attraction and Retention - Indicator 202-1 Ratios of Standard Entry Level Wage by Gender Compared to Local Minimum Wage and 405-2 Ratio of Basic Salary and Remuneration of Women to Men. Scope expanded to include 9 manufacturing sites
  • 4.2.1 Employee Safety and Care - Indicator 401-3 Parental leave. Scope, formulas, and disclosure items have been adjusted to comply with GRI standards and evaluation requirements
  • 4.2.2 Occupational Health and Safety - Indicator 403-9 Work-Related Injuries. Scope, formulas, and disclosure items have been adjusted to comply with GRI standards and evaluation requirements

Referencing Standards

This report discloses material topics, various management policies, objectives, and sustainability strategies, primarily based on the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in 2021. The report is compiled in accordance with the disclosure principles and reporting structure of these standards to enhance the completeness and comparability of the information. At the same time, to respond to the sustainability information needs of domestic and international stakeholders, and to enhance corporate transparency and performance in global sustainability ratings, this report also refers to the following standards and evaluation indicators for supplementary disclosure:

  • CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project): In alignment with the CDP Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires, Quanta discloses its initiatives in carbon emission management, climate risk mitigation, and water resource management.
  • TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures): In accordance with the TCFD-recommended framework, Quanta reports on the potential financial and operational impacts of climate-related risks and opportunities.
  • SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board): Supplementary disclosures are provided based on the SASB standards relevant to Quanta's industry, addressing financially material sustainability issues of concern to investors.
  • United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Corresponding to each SDG target, specifically presenting Quanta's commitments and contributions in the areas of environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Code of Practice for Sustainable Development of Listed and OTC Companies: In compliance with the requirements of the Financial Supervisory Commission and the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Quanta implements sound governance structures, risk management practices, and disclosure quality, while continuously enhancing its internal sustainability management mechanisms.

Through the comparison and adoption of diverse international standards and local regulatory guidelines, Quanta is committed to establishing a more resilient and forward-looking sustainability management system, fully showcasing the Company's commitment to sustainability and its tangible results.

External Assurance

This report adheres to the Accountability AA1000 Assurance Standard (2018) and has undergone Type 1, High Assurance verification. An independent third-party verification organization, DQS Taiwan Inc., Ltd., performed the external assurance and verification procedures. The review focused on the completeness, responsiveness, materiality, and consistency of the report content. During the assurance/verification process, members of the Quanta Sustainability Steering Committee, along with various management representatives and senior executives, actively participated by providing necessary data and explanations to ensure that the disclosed content is representative and accurate. There are no financial or business relationships between the Company and the verification agency; both parties maintain full independence, thereby ensuring the fairness and objectivity of the verification opinions. For details regarding the specific verification indicators and assurance scope, please refer to the appendices of this report: the "GRI Content Index" and the "Third-Party Independent Assurance Statement".

Report on Governance, Publication, and Filing

This report is published in both Traditional Chinese and English. Its contents are reviewed and approved by the Company's senior management and General Manager before being submitted to the Board of Directors for review and approval. In accordance with the Regulations Governing the Preparation and Filing of Sustainability Reports by TWSE Listed Companies, the report is publicly disclosed and filed. The full report is available on the Company's official website and is uploaded to the Market Observation Post System (MOPS) to ensure stakeholders have timely access to transparent and reliable information.

The Sustainability Development Center leads the compilation of the report, overseeing the planning process, coordinating the collection of cross-departmental data, and managing internal and external communication and verification mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the content. The report also draws on multiple international frameworks and disclosure standards―including GRI, SASB, and CDP―to strengthen Quanta's overall performance in global sustainability ratings and information transparency.

Spokesperson System

To ensure consistent external understanding of Quanta's sustainability policies and actions, all information disclosed in this report, along with matters related to corporate social responsibility, is coordinated through designated liaison points at each major operational site. The Taiwan Headquarters (QRDC) serves as the primary coordinating unit for sustainability-related communications, while each plant site appoints a local liaison responsible for updating site-specific information and facilitating stakeholder engagement.

Quanta has also established the Information Disclosure and Communication Code of Conduct to formalize its official spokesperson framework. This system defines the roles of authorized spokespersons, deputy spokespersons, and supporting units, ensuring a unified approach to public communications. Through both formal and informal channels, the spokesperson system may reiterate or clarify previously disclosed corporate or financial information, thereby ensuring that all external disclosures are consistent, accurate, and transparent.
