Quanta Computer is a design and assembly company for professional portable computers, laptops, motherboards, and other products. The company’s main environmental impacts are effluent gas, domestic sewage, and waste materials. Quanta, in holding true to its belief of coexisting with the earth, shall undertake and are committed to the fruition of the following environmental policies to achieve the spirit of pollution prevention and continuous improvement.

  • Through employee education and the implementation of ISO 14001, employees and those working on behalf of the organization are aware that environmental protection is everyone’s responsibility and obligation.
  • Reduce environmental impact by decreasing both air and water pollution and waste generation.
  • All products are designed and manufactured in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations and other requirements that must be observed.
  • Set environmental goals for continuous improvement.
  • In achieving low-energy, low-pollution practices, factoring environmental takes product design into account.

And demonstrate environmental protection outcomes according to the following criteria:

  • To help keep global warming to no more than 1.5°C, a carbon reduction goal which is to be established should be supported by scientific evidence.
  • Regularly conduct climate and natural risk assessments to understand the dependence, impact, risks, and opportunities of our own operations and supply chain on nature.
  • Conduct annual stock take to keep track of the status of greenhouse gas emissions. Develop a holistic carbon reduction policy in accordance with stocktaking findings.
  • In accordance with laws and customer requirements, the inclusion of specific substances is prohibited or restricted. Hazardous chemicals and waste that might cause harm to humans or the environment, and other chemical such as volatile organic chemicals, aerosols, corrosive substances, particulates, ozone layer-depleting chemicals, and other chemicals that are generated during operations, shall be classified, routinely monitored, controlled, and safely disposed of.
  • Reduce the consumption of natural resources and waste by conserving or improving production, recycling, and reuse, and implement systematic measures to identify, manage, reduce, and responsibly discard or recycle harmless solid waste.
  • The necessary environmental permits, approvals and registration documents should be obtained, maintained, and regularly updated in accordance with laws, regulations, and protocols.
  • Continuously upgrade environmentally-friendly and energy-saving equipment to comply with the ISO 50001 power-saving standard.
  • Promote green products, use renewable energy and recyclable materials, and make environmentally friendly products.
  • Protect water resources, record, and manage the monitoring of water usage, and manage the discharge of wastewater, striving to reduce discharges and discharge wastewater in a legally compliant manner.
  • Contribute to stop deforestation and the transformation of natural ecosystems in supply chains. Reduce the generation of air, soil, and water pollution, noise, waste, and excessive water consumption during operations, and reduce and prevent harmful impacts on the environment and ecosystems, including acquisition, development, land, forests, and waters. When operating or otherwise using, respect the natural ecology and land rights, and prohibit the illegal eviction of any species, as well as the expropriation and overuse of land, forests, and waters.
