Quanta Computer Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "the Company") focuses on the design and manufacturing of electronic products and application tools. The Company’s primary environmental impacts arise from electricity consumption, domestic wastewater treatment, and waste management Recognizing the two-way relationship between corporate operations and sustainable development, all employees of the Company are committed to following and implementing the environmental policy below, with the objectives of pollution prevention and continuous improvement, achieving harmonious development between the enterprise and the environment. The scope of this policy also applies to suppliers, contractors, and partners across the value chain.

Mission

  • Establish a comprehensive environmental management and emissions reduction mechanism
    Establish an environmental management system, set environmental objectives and indicators, and reduce environmental impacts throughout the entire operational life cycle; promote green facilities, green manufacturing, and a green supply chain, actively manage environmental risks, gradually increase the proportion of renewable energy use, and advance toward 100% renewable energy use and net-zero emissions.
  • Enhance resource efficiency and environmental protection
    Pursue optimal efficiency in the use of energy, water, and natural resources; promote waste reduction and pollution prevention, preserve biodiversity, and through communication and cooperation with stakeholders, jointly reduce the environmental impacts throughout the entire life cycle of research and development, raw materials, transportation, production, packaging, products, and services.

Implementation Guidelines

  • Quanta has established a Sustainable Environment Task Force as the dedicated responsible unit, and the Sustainable Development Center under the Sustainable Development Steering Committee supervises the effectiveness of policy implementation while continuously monitoring international environmental issues. At the same time, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems are implemented at operational sites, and through internal audits and external third-party verification, compliance with local environmental regulations is ensured, the environmental impact of business activities is reduced, and environmental responsibility awareness among employees and related personnel is strengthened.
  • Regularly conduct regulatory compliance reviews to ensure that operational procedures comply with applicable domestic and international environmental regulations, mandatory standards, and requirements related to energy and resource efficiency and consumption in the locations where the Company operates, while continuously meeting the latest legal and standard requirements.
  • Continuously strengthen water resource management, improve water use efficiency through environmental management systems, promote water-saving measures to gradually reduce water withdrawal and consumption, and safeguard water resource security at operational sites and surrounding communities. At the same time, ensure employees within the Company's direct jurisdiction have access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities, implement wastewater treatment, discharge management, and pollutant discharge controls in accordance with regulatory requirements, strive to reduce and control water pollution, and gradually reduce or phase out the use of hazardous substances that may affect the water environment, thereby reducing the negative impacts of operational activities on natural freshwater ecosystems, habitats, and local communities.
  • During product design and manufacturing processes, strictly comply with regulatory requirements and take environmental issues into consideration, committing to low energy consumption and low pollution, ensuring products meet environmental protection standards, and promoting sustainable development.
  • Continuously establish clear and measurable environmental objectives and committed to improve environmental performance through the ongoing optimization of environmental management measures.
  • Actively communicate, collaborate, and consult with external stakeholders, and work together with customers and suppliers/contractors to address challenges related to environmental protection, climate change, and water resource management; through information disclosure, experience sharing, and capacity building, enhance their awareness of environmental impacts, and relevant management requirements.
  • Through regularly organized environmental education courses, awareness campaigns, and training activities, enhance the awareness of management, employees, affiliated companies, related enterprises, and suppliers/contractors regarding environmental protection and their understanding of the environmental impacts of operational activities, while strengthening the Company's overall environmental management effectiveness.
