Quanta Computer Environmental Protection Policy

Quanta Computer Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) focuses on the design and manufacturing of electronic products and application tools. The Company’s major environmental impacts stem from electricity consumption, domestic wastewater treatment, and waste management. Upholding the principle of coexisting harmoniously with the planet, all employees are committed to implementing the following environmental policy to achieve pollution prevention and continuous improvement, aiming to foster harmonious development between the enterprise and the environment.

Mission

  • Establish Comprehensive Environmental Management and Emissions Reduction Mechanisms
    Implement a certified Environmental Management System (EMS), set measurable environmental objectives and KPIs, and reduce environmental impacts throughout the entire business and product life cycle. Promote green buildings, green manufacturing, and sustainable supply chain practices, proactively manage environmental and climate-related risks, and advance toward net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
  • Enhance Resource Efficiency and Environmental Protection
    Pursue the efficient use of energy, water, and natural resources; drive waste reduction, pollution prevention, and circular economy practices; protect biodiversity and natural habitats; and work with stakeholders across R&D, raw materials procurement, transportation, production, packaging, and product/service use and end-of-life stages to reduce environmental impacts and deliver life cycle sustainability outcomes.

Implementation Principles

  • Implement Environmental Management Systems
    Continuously monitor emerging international environmental issues and implement ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems at all operational sites. Conduct internal audits and external third-party verification to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce environmental impacts, and strengthen environmental responsibility awareness among employees and related personnel.
  • Ensure Legal and Regulatory Compliance
    Conduct regular environmental compliance reviews to ensure that operational processes align with domestic and international environmental laws, regulations, and standards related to energy and resource efficiency and consumption and continually comply with the latest regulatory requirements.
  • Embed Eco-Design and Sustainable Manufacturing
    In the design and manufacturing processes, strictly comply with environmental regulations and integrate eco-design principles, striving for low energy consumption, low emissions, low pollution, and ensuring that all products meet applicable environmental standards to support sustainable development goals (SDGs).
  • Set Measurable Environmental Targets
    Continuously set clear and quantifiable environmental targets and enhance environmental performance through the ongoing optimization of environmental management measures.
  • Engage with Stakeholders and Value Chain Partners
    Actively engage in communication, collaboration, and feedback with stakeholders, and work with customers, suppliers, and contractors to address environmental protection and climate change mitigation challenges. Disclose environmental information transparently to enhance stakeholders’ awareness of the Company’s environmental policies, targets, and impacts.
  • Provide Environmental Education and Training
    Conduct regular environmental education, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building training to strengthen the understanding of environmental protection and operational environmental impacts among management, employees, affiliated and related companies, and suppliers/contractors, while improving the Company’s overall environmental management performance and governance effectiveness.
