Conflict Minerals Management Policy

  • The Company recognizes a significantly negative impact in the mining, trading, processing, and export of 3TG (tungsten, tantalum, tin, and gold), cobalt, mica, and other minerals in conflict zones and high-risk areas, thus it acknowledges its corporate obligations to respect human rights and not contribute to conflicts. We have adopted and widely promoted a policy of responsible sourcing of minerals from conflict zones and high-risk areas and are committed to not engaging in any activity that would result in the financing of social, environmental, or human rights degradation.
  • As an RBA/RMI member, we perform due diligence in responsible mineral sourcing in accordance with the “OECD Minerals Due Diligence Guidance”, the RMI Framework and customer requirements, and in accordance with the RCOI information published by RMI in a timely manner to assess the risks associated with the Democratic Republic of Congo and surrounding countries and/or other high-risk areas. The Company both requires smelters and refineries upstream in the supply chain to actively participate in third-party (RMI/LBMA) certification, and for suppliers to responsibly source from RMI/LBMA-certified compliant smelters and refineries as the Company supports the continued use of third-party certified conflict minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries and/or other high-risk areas so as not to impact or curtail the area's responsible mining operations.
  • The Company continues to support RMI's strategy and approach to due diligence in responsible mineral sourcing by adopting the model due diligence report and associated measures such as adopting supporting management tools published by RMI, designating responsible units, and establishing effective management procedures. The Company continuously communicates its responsible procurement policy to its suppliers, provides training to suppliers on responsible mineral procurement, and investigates the implementation status of the above policy by the Company's suppliers. Where necessary, the Company will take relevant measures to reduce and/or eliminate risks accordingly.
