Responsible AI Guiding Principles and Implementation Guidelines

Quanta will continue to enhance ethical and Responsible AI management and capability building and is committed to using AI technologies in an ethical, responsible, and non-abusive manner. The following principles serve as the basis for promotion and implementation.

• When using, developing, or deploying AI, the Company will protect personal data and confidential information, comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations, and appropriately disclose AI usage as well as its purposes, limitations, and risks to enhance transparency.
• The Company will take appropriate measures to maintain the security of AI systems and related information, reduce the risks of unauthorized access, data leakage, and misuse, and establish reasonable usage scopes and management mechanisms to prevent improper use.
• The Company is committed to avoiding bias or unfair impacts arising from AI outputs and will incorporate objective and fairness considerations into the planning, development, testing, and usage processes and, where necessary, take appropriate measures to identify and improve such issues.
• The Company will designate appropriate responsible units for the use and management of AI; in critical or sensitive scenarios, important AI decisions or output results will be reviewed, intervened in, or verified by personnel and may be escalated when necessary to maintain controllability and traceability.
• The Company will not use or deploy AI for manipulative activities. For sensitive or restricted applications, the Company will conduct prudent assessments and implement necessary controls and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• When evaluating and adopting AI models, tools, and third-party services, the Company will incorporate resource efficiency and environmental sustainability considerations and, where feasible, reduce computing and energy consumption to minimize environmental impact.
